Income type

How you earnGig work shows daily earning targets; tax estimates below apply to any income type
Manage taxes for meWhen off, no tax buffer or quarterly tax estimate is calculated
Tax set-aside typeSet your recurring taxes as a percent of income or a fixed dollar amount — works for gig, salary, and hourly
Tax rate %Percent of income set aside for estimated taxes
Tax set-aside $ / quarterFixed dollar amount to set aside each quarter

Work schedule rules gig work · days off per week

Define which days you take off, and which weeks of the month those rules apply. The auto work-day count uses these rules to calculate your daily earning target.

Earning buffers gig work · % of daily gross target

These categories are set aside from every dollar you earn before covering bills. They show as individual line items on your daily earning target. Taxes are managed separately above.

The total % of all buffers + your tax rate cannot exceed 99% or the gross target calculation breaks down.

Your data

Everything stays on this device. Export a backup before clearing browser data.

Where your data actually lives

This app doesn't have a server or account — everything you enter (accounts, transactions, budgets, settings) is saved directly in this browser's local storage, sometimes loosely called "browser cache." That means:

  • Your data only exists on this device, in this specific browser app.
  • Opening the page in a different browser, a different device, or a private/incognito tab will show a blank, empty app — it's not synced anywhere.
  • Clearing your browser's history, cache, or site data will permanently erase everything here, with no way to recover it.
  • Reinstalling the browser or running low on device storage can also clear it without warning.

Simple instructions

  • Export backup — saves everything as one JSON file with today's date in the name. Do this regularly, and always before clearing browser data or switching devices.
  • Import backup — pick a previously exported JSON file to restore everything from that file. This replaces what's currently in the app.
  • Reset all data — permanently wipes everything on this device. Export first if you want to keep anything.
